Tips
For Clear Skin
1. Don't Squeeze or
Pick! Squeezing or picking
your blemishes — with fingernails, pins or anything else — can force
bacteria deeper into the skin, causing greater inflammation and
infection.
2.
Hand off Your Face! Propionibacterium acnes (the bacteria
that causes breakouts) is a normal resident of your skin; it doesn't
lead to acne until it gets trapped inside the hair follicle.
Excessive touching of your face, including rubbing or even resting
your chin in your hands, can drive bacteria into your pores — where
it can begin its dirtywork.
3.
Don't Overwash Some people over-wash their face. Excessive
washing can lead to dryness and other irratation. Washing your
face two times per day is plenty.
4. Drink plenty of
water Drinking plenty of water is key to a healthy
complexion. Water flushes toxins out of your body (similar to
giving the the inside of your body a shower). You should try
to shoot for at least 10 glasses of water per day.
